It's a place I've literally had dreams of...essentially, tis a dream I've had, but I've changed le names around. Ethel Barnes followed after her bestie, Kuro, through the Tall Trees to the Forbidden Ward that sat on the coastline of Lake Feire; the seven imp-like demons of solid colors aided her already quickened pace.
"C'mon, Ethel! We gotta hurry!" Kuro called back, stopping before the massive stone crystal gate that led into the Ward. The demons of red and black scurried forward to fill the gap. When Ethel reached her bestie, she paused to take a breather; the seven colored kimonos she carried in her arms were heavy.
"You okay, Eth?" Kuro bent over her, his golden yellow eyes filling with concern and compassion. Ethel's hand caressed the top of the statue of the Demon God that sat near the gate. She felt a renewal of her strength and turned to Kuro.
"I'm fine. Let's keep going."
The demons led the way inside the Ward, the two teenagers following closely behind them.
A moment went by and Ethel found herself freaking out; she was wearing all layers of the kimonos except for the outer layer, the red layer.
"Where is it? Where is Aka?!" she screamed, terrified that she'd lost him and the kimono. Red (Aka) came scampering into the room, out of breath and clutching the last kimono in his claws.
"Hurry! Put it on!" he rasped, handing over the layer to the outstretched claw that came from the center of the kimonos Ethel wore. As the claw made a grab for the last kimono, she blacked out. The next thing she knew, her entire being was filled with a mixture of fear and horror: all seven of the colorful kimonos were gone and there was a large and muscular black man barking nonsense to her.
"Number one: Geico is Maryland's number one car insurance. Number two: Geico has just lowered their car insurance rate. Number three: Maryland's state crustacean is the blue crab. Those are my three rules. I love saying the word 'crustacean'."
"What the hell does that have to do with anything?! Just give us the damn kimonos back and all this havoc and what not'll stop!" Kuro snapped, clearly pissed off since he was now pacing back and forth. Ethel sensed the seven demons nearby and looked out the window. Before she looked down, she saw the demon statue she had petted on her way in; it seemed a bit hazy. The seven demons were now gathering beneath the windowsill on the outside, coming to Ethel's (and Kuro's) aid, trying to right the wrong that had been done right before the eyes of the Demon God, Jehova.
The last thing she remembered was Kuro dragging her through those maze-like halls of the Ward, trying to find their way out. Then she woke up.
